I will die on this hill

𝗜 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗱𝗶𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗹

I will die on this hill
even if you think I am nothing
but run-of-the-mill
or lacking some kind of appeal
I will not come tumbling down
oh– but if I should fall
I shall climb down silently
without chime or sound
for what is there left
but arson and petty theft

I will stand by the belief
of some godforsaken chief
looking for rhyme and reason
to forgo loyalty with treason
and let go of the light
in a single almighty fight
but you can’t wrestle truth
facing demons in every move
so– you give fair warning
for all those who are coming
